YDAR is the newest hip hop crew coming out of Vancouver. Debuting their brand new single, “Your Daddy’s A Rookie”, with some hysterical visuals, the group portrays themselves as who they are; funny and outgoing individuals. Named after a little inside joke between the group, they have only decided to come together and make a Hip Hop group, 3 months ago. They took on the task for their senior school project, and create an album in 11 weeks. From pre-production, to creating beats, writing lyrics and skit ideas to recording, mixing and mastering, they were able to create a concept EP, that consists of 5 tracks and several skits. For the music video, the director; Warren Scott, wanted to capture YDAR, each as their own individuals in 3 different locations, but come to a conclusion that they end up in the same place and displays that their chemistry and unity as group shows their uniqueness, which shows in their music.
